Dr. Kari Mundschenk
Dr. Kari Mundschenk is a 1990 graduate of Washington State University. She co-owned a mixed animal hospital in
Spokane prior to moving to northern
California where she was a medical director for a large dog/cat hospital. Through the course of many years she developed a respect and desire to further her education in feline medicine. She is now a Board member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and is the leader of the cat topics committee. Dr. Kari's greatest desire is to educate owners about the special needs of their kitties in order to help kitties live long, healthy, pain free lives. In her "spare" time, Dr. Kari enjoys traveling and along with her husband, SCUBA diving, spending time in the great outdoors and being around her "kids" of the four-legged variety.
Dr. Peter Mundschenk
Dr. Peter Mundschenk is a 1988 graduate of Washington State University. He co-owned a mixed animal hospital in
Spokane with Dr. Kari prior to moving to northern
California where he worked in a large dog/cat hospital doing primarily dentistry and surgery. Dr. Peter has furthered his education with specialized courses in dentistry and surgery and has a great desire to educate owners about the special dental needs of their kitties. Many chronic issues in the cat can be traced back to the secondary effects of inflammation in the mouth. In his "free" time, Dr. Pete also enjoys traveling and along with with Dr. Kari, SCUBA diving, triathlons, long distance horse riding and spending time in the great outdoors. "Being around the 'kids' of the four-legged variety is always relaxing and makes me happy for no reason.
